FAQ
How do I book with you?
Please contact me using my contact link on this website or email me at connie@conniebellphotography.com. I will get back to you within 24 hours. A non-refundable retainer deposit and a signed contract agreement are required to reserve a session or wedding date.
Please be advised: Sessions are booked on a first come, first serve basis by who pays the deposit to reserve first. I'm unable to hold a date without the required deposit for sessions or weddings.
Where are you located?
I'm located in Clinton, MS and serve all of the greater Jackson area. A travel fee is required for any location over 25 miles from Clinton, MS.
What time do outdoor sessions begin?
Lighting is the most important element of a picture. The best time to begin an outdoor session is either early mornings or late afternoons/early evenings; the start time will depend on the season of the year (i.e. the sun rises earlier and sets later in the spring summer, and rises later and sets earlier in the fall/winter).
What should I wear or bring to my session?
Wear what makes you feel good and reflects your personality. I recommend keeping your outfits simple, and avoid clothing with large logos or bold stripes. Solid neutral colors usually photograph the best. For family sessions, go for coordinating outfits instead of perfectly matching. I suggest bringing along a small bag with makeup and a brush/comb for quick touch-ups if needed.
Can I bring props or pets to my session?
Yes! Feel free to bring any fun props or your four-legged animals to your session free of charge, but please let me know in advance if you are bringing your pet(s). These are your photos so you can bring any fun props or items with meaning to your session. Connie Bell Photography does not provide props for sessions, you must bring your own.Â
How and when will I receive my final images?
My clients receive and view their images through a private online gallery called Pixieset. Clients will also be able to purchase prints and products directly through their gallery link store. The average turnaround for regular portrait galleries is between 2-3 weeks, and for wedding galleries is between 4-6 weeks. The gallery allows easy access for ordering prints/canvases, downloading digital images, and sharing with family and friends. Session galleries are available for 2 weeks online, before being removed. Wedding galleries are available online for 3 months. If you would like to extend your gallery or would like your images uploaded to a new gallery in the future, a $50 archival fee is required. Clients understand it is their responsibility to download and backup their images. Connie Bell Photography is not responsible for archiving your images after delivery.
Who owns the copyrights?
Connie Bell Photography retains full ownership and copyright to the original images. If your package includes digital images, you will receive a license for personal use, such as printing and web usage. The client provides Connie Bell Photography with the right to use images for online and print publication and advertising, and other various uses.
What if I need to reschedule?
I understand things come up and sometimes a date no longer works especially if you book far in advance, so I'm happy to change the date or time for you as long as your new date/time is available. If you need to reschedule for any reason, please try to give me at least 48 hrs notice. If you happen to become sick the day of your session, please reschedule. Your photos will be better if you look and feel your best. If your reschedule is approved, your booking fee will carry over onto your new date. If rescheduling for a date more than 60 days out from your original date, a new booking fee will be required. (The new booking fee will be waived if we have previously discussed a date, and for special circumstances such as travel, military, health reasons.)
Do you give clients any unedited images?
No, I do not give any unedited images to clients. Each image is carefully edited to reflect my business brand and photographic style.
Do you offer printed products?
Prints, canvases, and cards (holiday, graduation invitations or save-the-dates) can be ordered directly within your online gallery store. Clients are given freedom to print their images anywhere, but it is recommended to print within the gallery store for the best possible quality and color result. Other print centers or companies may negatively impact the quality; pixelation, color, etc.
